Hello! I’m Sean, and thank you for visiting the Greenfinch Content, PR & Social Media website. I work as a freelance content marketer, a freelance PR consultant, and a freelance social media manager.
For ten years between 2012 and 2022, I worked as a writer across different industries – from journalism to publishing to digital marketing.
I love to write, and I love helping businesses promote themselves, reach new audiences and broaden their reach.
In July 2022, I set up as a freelancer, providing content marketing services to clients, and also taking on projects around PR campaigns and social media management.
I quickly grew this freelance business, which I initially called Carduelis Content & Historical Research. This is because beyond freelance marketing services, I also do work in the heritage and historical research sectors.
However, I realised that the name Carduelis was 1. difficult to pronounce, 2. difficult to remember, 3. difficult to spell. A change was needed!
So in January 2025, I split the business in two. Greenfinch Content, PR & Social Media is the arm that provides freelance content writing, freelance public relations and freelance social media services to clients.
The sister business, Goldfinch Heritage, deals with the work I do in the heritage industry.
I have stayed true to the origins of my freelance work by operating as a sole trader under the name ‘The Carduelis Group’.
It has been a wonderful journey so far and I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people and organisations. Here’s to many more years of success!
